Festival logistics

There is a range of accommodation available, either in Fish Creek itself or in the surrounding area (Buffalo, Foster, Meeniyan, Sandy Point, Shallow Inlet, Tarwin Lower, Toora, Venus Bay, Walkerville, Waratah Bay, Yanakie), including hotels, motels, cottages, bed and breakfasts, caravan parks and camping grounds. Most places are listed on accommodation websites. Alternatively, the Accredited Visitor Information Centres at Korumburra and Foster can book accommodation for you.

Information about the area
There are Accredited Visitor Information Centres at Korumburra and Foster. You can also find information on the Visit Prom Country website.

If you are attending one of our events at the Fish Creek Hotel, you are able to park in their carpark. There is on-street parking throughout Fish Creek, although note that some of the spaces in the town centre have time restrictions. More info on parking to come.

You can get petrol (and other things) at Roo Fuel which is located on the main road, opposite the Fish Creek Hotel.

Public transport
You can get to Fish Creek on a V-Line coach that leaves from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne, travelling to Yarram via Leongatha. Not all buses go past Leongatha, so make sure the bus you’re on is going to Fishy! The trip from Melbourne takes about 3 hours. You get to see lots of pretty countryside and quirky little towns along the way.
If you are just coming for the day, make sure you check the timetable for the return coach time!
Find the latest timetable info on the V-Line website (look under Coach Timetables, Eastern Victoria).

You are able to find a range of refreshments locally – Gibson’s, Headquarters at Gecko Studio Gallery, The Paddock, Cafe KO Bar & Grill, the Fish Creek Hotel, the Banksia Cafe at Celia Rosser Gallery, Fish Creek General Store and Roo Fuel.

There may be some minor traffic restrictions in place on Saturday 26 May for the Bendigo Bank Market Day. The Fish Creek Kangaroos are playing at Terrill Park that day also. We are told there will be no roadworks in the area.
