Our first big weekend of events is less than a week away! Melina Bath will officially open the Tea Cosy Exhibition at 10.30am on Saturday 14 May and Tea Cosy Competition prize winners will be announced.
Unlike our 2020 e-Cosy Exhibition where all entries were published online, only the winning cosies will be published online this time. So if you want to be wowed by some crafty creativity, you will need to visit the Tea Cosy Exhibition in Fish Creek between 14 and 22 May.
A couple of updates to help you plan your visit to Fishy:
Tea Cosy Cabaret – both nights are SOLD OUT.
The Guinness World Record attempt at the Biggest Tea Cosy Ever on 14 May will only proceed if the weather permits. Although the festival theme is Seasons, we are hoping the autumn weather will become less winter-ish, at least on Saturday! We are aiming to kick off this event at midday with a Rotary sausage sizzle; there will also be story telling for kids and the South Gippsland Shire Brass Band and vocalists will entertain you. The measuring of the massive cosy will start at 1.30pm.
Other things happening on Saturday – Creative Brews exhibition showcasing the beauty of plants and their use in teas; the opening of Tessa Hubble’s Goats and Landscapes exhibition at Celia Rosser Gallery; a Composting workshop at the Fish Creek Community Composter; a craft stall and Devonshire Teas at the Hall.
