Pru Raymond – Choose Your Own Adventure Socks – Presented by The HandMakers Store

On a Quest to Knit the Perfect Sock? This workshop is designed by Pru Raymond to guide knitters through a series of choices to plot their personalised ‘sock story:’ cuff down or toe up? Afterthought heel or short rows? What toe shaping and bind off should I choose? At the end of the workshop, participants will write a personlised ‘sock story’ to guide future sock knitting adventures. Materials 3.75mm circular knitting needle with 80cm circumference or DPNs 100g ball/cake of DK sock yarn (NB a 100g ball/cake is sufficient to make a mini sock in class and complete a full size pair using the recipe designed in class) OR 50f 8ply wool yarn in light colour (to make mini sock for learning purposes only). Skill Level this workshop is suitable for novice knitters who are keen to learn how to make sock, or for more seasoned knitters who want more power and insight to customise their socks or design their own. Experience of Magic Loop recommended but not essential.
