As part of showcasing Fish Creek as a creative community, we are thrilled to announce that the 2024 competition judge will be local artist extraordinaire – Sarah Parkes. With a history in illustration, sewing, fashion and jewellery design, Sarah is best known for her work with rope and knots undertaking commissioned installations for the Hyatt, Hilton and Sheraton Hotels, Commonwealth Bank, Airbnb and Westfield.
Sarah also belongs to art collective the Hotham Street Ladies, whose work addresses female biology, feminism, food, gender politics and the contemporary domestic landscape.
